Terms of Use

1. What CatalystRanked is (and is not)

CatalystRanked ("the Service") is a software platform where users publish investment theses, receive automated AI-generated analysis and scores, track ideas on a public leaderboard, and optionally construct basket portfolios executed through their own linked third-party brokerage account.

CatalystRanked is NOT a broker-dealer, investment adviser, or fiduciary. Nothing on the Service (including AI-generated scores, narratives, scenarios, claim verdicts, rankings, or any user-posted content) is investment advice, a recommendation, or a solicitation to buy or sell any security. AI scores are automated informational opinions derived from public news and user-submitted text; they can be wrong, stale, or incomplete. You alone are responsible for your investment decisions.

2. Brokerage accounts

Trading features operate through your own account at a third-party brokerage (currently Alpaca Securities LLC) that you connect voluntarily via OAuth. Your brokerage relationship, account agreements, and funds are entirely between you and that brokerage. CatalystRanked never holds, custodies, or transmits your funds or securities, and charges no per-trade fees. Orders placed through the Service are placed at your direction, in your account, under permissions you grant and may revoke at any time from your brokerage dashboard.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old. You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account. One account per person; creating additional accounts to evade limits is prohibited.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Paid tiers (e.g. Premium, Pro) unlock product features and are billed through Stripe on a recurring basis until cancelled. You can cancel any time via the billing portal; access continues through the end of the paid period. Prices may change with notice; existing subscriptions keep their price unless stated otherwise (founder-rate subscriptions keep their rate for the life of the subscription). Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

5. Your content

Theses, pressures, comments, and other content you post are yours, but by posting you grant CatalystRanked a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, analyze (including by automated/AI systems), and distribute that content within the Service, including on public pages such as the leaderboard and catalyst pages. Public content may remain visible in historical records (e.g. track records) after account closure, consistent with the leaderboard's integrity purpose.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: post content intended to manipulate securities markets (including pump-and-dump schemes); impersonate others; attempt to game scores, votes, or rankings (including with multiple accounts or automation); scrape or bulk-extract Service data; probe, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the Service; or use the Service in violation of applicable law. We may throttle, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these terms and may remove content at our discretion.

7. Market data and third-party content

News summaries, market data, and prices displayed on the Service come from third-party sources and may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. They are provided for information only.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. INVESTING INVOLVES RISK, INCLUDING TOTAL LOSS OF PRINCIPAL. PAST PERFORMANCE (INCLUDING LEADERBOARD RANKINGS AND PHI/ELO FIGURES) DOES NOT GUARANTEE FUTURE RESULTS.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CATALYSTRANKED AND ITS OPERATOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR INVESTMENT LOSSES, ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE (OR $50 IF YOU PAID NOTHING).

10. Changes, termination, governing law

We may modify the Service or these terms; material changes will be posted here with an updated date, and continued use constitutes acceptance. We may suspend or terminate the Service or your access at any time. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules; venue for disputes lies in the state or federal courts of Colorado.
